These images are essentially depictions of small installations I have created. I had an image in my mind I wanted to conceive of a hideous flower arrangement consisting of red roses and baby's breath, in a really tacky cut crystal vase. So I went to Value Village to find the vase and became overwhelmingly inspired by outdated dining sets. I decided that I wanted to put together simple breakfast vignettes using the various sets. I was interested in how time transforms what was once aesthetically pleasing, enough to warrant the mass production of these dining patterns; into items people would eventually want to give to thrift stores.
